The Harrison County Harness Racing and Wine Festival will return Saturday for year two of the event at the Harrison County Fairgrounds in Corydon.
Post time for the first race is 11 a.m. Horses from all over Indiana — 2- and 3-year-old pacers and trotters — will compete for Indiana State Fair Series purse money.
The Indian Creek Marketplace will have its booths located Saturday at the fairgrounds, along with several food, craft, merchant and yard sale booths.
Admission is free to the full day of racing, with 10 to 20 races expected (fields will be announced Thursday).
Also part of the event is a wine tasting from noon to 4 p.m. with local and out-of-town wineries participating. The first 200 participants will receive an etched wine glass, commemorative of the Harrison County Harness and Wine event. Wine tasting cost is $10 per person.
The event is sponsored by the Harrison County Agricultural Society. All proceeds benefit agricultural and livestock programs at the Harrison County Fairgrounds.
