The Corydon Central boys' soccer team improved to 9-4-2 with a 15-0 victory Thursday over Austin and a 2-1 decision Monday over Scottsburg in Mid-Southern Conference play.
Ten different Panthers got in on the scoring in the win versus Austin, including hat tricks from Brendan Stewart and Cory Thomas. To go with Thomas' three goals, the junior also had five assists. Thomas currently sits 16th in the state in goals scored with 22.
The 15 goals in one game is a school record.
Connor Kopp was the only other multiple goal scorer, netting two.
Scoring one goal each for the Panthers were Brad Green, Bryce Brocar, Hanni Bichir, Michael Onstott, Grant Robinson, Noah Lamure and Brandon Smith.
Corydon Central coach Jeff Salomon said the visitors had a great bunch of kids doing their best to play in the game.
Green, Brocar, Robinson and Smith, along with Jay Brent, Cole McKiever and Jordan DeWeese logged one assist each.
Jay Brent made four saves, picking up the win in goal. He played 57 minutes in net before turning it over to Isidro Chavez and Kopp.
Corydon Central scored a 2-1 win over Scottsburg behind two goals from Thomas.
On the Panthers' first goal, Bichir made a long run from his defensive position, then passed to Thomas who tucked the ball into the left side of the net.
The 1-all tie at half was broken when Thomas scored off a pass from teammate Brendan Stewart in the 75th minute.
Leupp made nine saves in goal to get the win. Scottsburg's lone goal was scored by Sasha Weddington.
Corydon Central will hit the road Saturday to play at Northeast Dubois at noon.
