The Harrison County Convention & Visitors Bureau announced Thursday that it has officially named Jeremy Yackle as its new executive director.
Yackle had been serving as interim director since September, following departure of longtime Harrison County CVB executive director Jim Epperson. Yackle had been the assistant director of the HC CVB since March 2007. He joined the HC CVB after six years as executive director of the Perry County CVB in Tell City.
"We are excited to have Jeremy taking over on a permanent basis," Michael Wiseman, HC CVB board president, said. "He has the qualities we need to keep the CVB and the county's tourism industry moving forward. He has served us well for the past seven years as our assistant director, and the board of directors is looking forward to having him put his stamp on the CVB and lead our great staff."
Yackle is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science and a minor in economics. He also is a graduate of Destination Marketing Association International's Certified Destination Marketing Executive program. He and his wife, Kimberly, live in Corydon and are expecting their first child in March.
