INDOT plow trucks out in full force

January 17, 2014 | 09:46 AM

The Indiana Department of Transportation reports that plow trucks continue full deployment as drivers patrol state routes and interstates, treating slick lanes with salt and clearing away snow accumulations. Sixty-three yellow state trucks are in service between Louisville, Seymour, North Vernon and Madison.

INDOT advises motorist to drive with great care—anticipating changing conditions.

Across the state, more than 630 INDOT plow trucks were put in operation. The Seymour District dispatched nearly 140 trucks to highways in southeast Indiana.

The public can motor road closures, highway conditions and traffic alerts at: www.Facebook.com/INDOTSoutheast or Twitter @INDOTSoutheast, or verify travel plans at TrafficWise: http://www.trafficwise.in.gov.
