The family of a missing teenager are hoping someone can let them know where their loved one is and perhaps assist in his return.

Joy Janes of Depauw said her grandson, Dakota Blocker, 16, had been living with her until Nov. 5, the last day she saw him.

"He's never run away before," Janes said, adding that he didn't take anything with him, "not even his (cell) phone."

Dakota was last seen at the home of his other grandparents, Ronald and Betty Blocker of New Salisbury.

The teen was on probation and had recently been released from the Clark County Detention Center. Janes said he had been told that, if he got in trouble again, he would be sent to another facility. As part of his probation, Dakota had his learner's permit revoked, she said.

Dakota, who attends North Harrison High School and Prosser School of Technology, apparently got into some kind of trouble at school, Janes said.

Janes has contacted the Harrison County Sheriff's Dept., as well as all of Dakota's friends that she knows of. "He's just disappeared," she said.

Dakota was wearing a monitoring ankle bracelet that Janes said he removed. A reward is being offered for the return of the ankle bracelet.

The ankle bracelet's battery was nearly dead, Janes said, and Dakota had been told it needed to be recharged, a process that would take about an hour.

The teen is about 6-foot-3, 190 pounds and has light brown hair and brown eyes, Janes said.

Anyone with information about Dakota's whereabouts is urged to call Janes at 738-0605, the Blockers at 347-3344 or the Harrison County Sheriff's Dept. at 738-2195.
