The Floyd Central Lady Highlanders cross country team did what it needed to do on a cold and windy Saturday morning to take one of the six state final qualifying spots at the Brown County Semi-state. Floyd Central finished fourth out of the 20 teams, qualifying for this weekend's run at the Lavern Gibson Cross Country complex in Terre Haute. Cougars, Bosler roll at regionalOctober 22, 2013Saturday’s Crawford County cross country regional was almost a case of déjà vu as the North Harrison Cougars and Floyd Central Lady Highlanders put themselves on top of the scoring column again after winning last Tuesday’s sectional on the same course. North Harrison’s Ashton Bosler and Borden’s Julien Magallanes also repeated with wins individually.

Both teams had games they want to forget but plan to put that behind them as they move into this week’s sectional.

The Lady Highlanders dominated with six runners in the top eight, while North Harrison squeaked past Floyd Central by just four points.
